Software Quality Assurance Engineer (110.0)

We're looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team! 

Job Responsibilities

• Create, review, execute and maintain test plans and test cases
• Assist Engineering in the planning, scheduling and execution of tasks to meet milestones throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide accurate and feasible work estimates for product testing tasks
• Conduct Functional, Regression, Performance/Benchmarking, Stress/Load tests, and document defects
• Execute, maintain and expand automated test framework and test cases for current production applications
• Work with software engineers to define and implement QA and unit test plans, including dependency analysis, code coverage and use cases
• Improve software quality through testing and advocacy, with a constant focus on the customer experience

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in testing applications on Windows and/or Unix platforms
• 2 Years experience implementing QA processes
• QA process knowledge – application development and defect lifecycles
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including isolating bugs in complex code
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven – must have constant attention to detail
• Ability to think independently and take initiative to make the project succeed
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required; must be able to represent QA to customers, both internal and external

Desired Skills and Experience

• 2 Years experience supporting high transactional web and application server-based software preferred
• Experience writing, executing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts. (QTP, Silk, WinRunner, Ruby/Watir, ...)
• Working knowledge of SMTP and DNS – experience with email/messaging applications
• RDBMS Experience (MS SQL, Oracle, mysql preferred)
• Load and performance testing experience
• Experience with VMWare
• College degree or equivalent experience. Technical degrees preferred
