Lyris Releases ListManager 6.1 Email Software
Latest
version adds viral marketing, new discussion group interface
Berkeley, CA - 28 January 2003 - Lyris Technologies
announced today the release of ListManager 6.1, the
latest version of its industry-leading email marketing
software. ListManager 6.1 adds viral marketing features
to help boost customer acquisition, as well as a completely
updated discussion group and message archive interface.
"Viral marketing boils down to a simple truth: most
people sign up for a list at the recommendation of a
friend or coworker," said Lyris CEO John Buckman. "With
ListManager 6.1, list owners can actively encourage
their members to invite their friends to a list, as
well as to pass along messages they liked."
Designed for permission-based list owners, ListManager's
new refer-a-friend technology is unique in facilitating
membership growth while simultaneously safeguarding
a list's opt-in integrity. Moreover, the technology
tracks the success of an individual referral all the
way to the friend's resulting open, clickthrough, and
subscription request.
ListManager 6.1 also includes a completely redesigned
interface for public discussion groups and message archives.
"Email lists are for more than just marketing -- they
help people share ideas and work together," said Buckman.
"This new interface makes viewing and sharing past emails
easier and more intuitive."
ListManager 6.1 runs on Windows, Linux, and Solaris
SPARC, and is compatible with Oracle, Microsoft SQL
Server, and other major databases. A hosted ASP service
is also available. For more information, visit: http://www.lyris.com/products/listmanager/.
