Appoints Former Dreyer's Executive as Controller

BERKELEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 2005--Lyris(R) Technologies, leading developer of email marketing solutions and subsidiary of J.L. Halsey (OTCBB:JLHY), today named Joseph Lambert its new controller. Lambert will also be controller of J.L. Halsey.

Lambert recently served as director of operational accounting at Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, Inc. in Oakland, CA. While at Dreyer's, he participated in key initiatives, including the recent acquisition of Nestle Ice Cream Company. Additionally, he led various process improvement projects contributing to the success of the company.

Previously, Joe was vice president and controller of Primark, a $500 million global information services company (later acquired by Thompson Financial). He also held executive roles at CMGI, Interval Research Corporation, and served at Ernst & Young.
